A threader earring uses a thin chain or bar that passes through the piercing and hangs down on one or both sides, giving a completely different silhouette to a standard stud or hoop. We stock threader earrings in 9ct and 18ct gold, hand-finished at our Birmingham workshop, in simple chain designs and a few with small charms along the length. Fit isn't really an issue here since the thread adjusts to however far you pull it through, which makes length a matter of preference rather than sizing. These tend to suit a second or third piercing particularly well, since the thin profile doesn't compete with a stud already in the main lobe. Worth trying if you want something a bit different from the usual stud or hoop.
