18ct Gold Chains

18ct gold chains contain more pure gold than 9ct, giving them a richer, deeper colour that looks noticeably warmer side by side. That extra gold content does make 18ct slightly softer, so it's worth being a little more careful with daily wear than you would with a 9ct piece. Manna Jewellers stocks 18ct gold chains across several of our styles, hand-finished at our Birmingham workshop, for anyone who wants the deeper tone and doesn't mind the small trade-off in hardness. Many customers choose 18ct specifically for a chain worn less often, kept for better occasions rather than daily use. Either carat will hold up fine with reasonable care.
