9ct gold hoop earrings hold their shape well over daily wear, since the higher alloy content in 9ct makes it noticeably tougher than 18ct at the same width. That durability is exactly why hoops, which get pulled on and off more than most earrings, are so often made in 9ct rather than a higher carat. We stock 9ct gold hoop earrings in sizes from small and close-fitting to larger statement hoops, hand-finished at our Birmingham workshop. The trade-off is a slightly paler gold tone than 18ct, though it's a small difference most people wouldn't notice without holding both side by side. If you wear hoops daily, this is usually the more sensible choice.
