Herringbone Chains

A herringbone chain is made from flat links laid at an angle to each other, which gives it a smooth, almost woven surface that catches light in a way a rounded link chain doesn't. It's one of the flatter chain styles we stock, sitting close to the skin without much bulk. We carry herringbone chains in 9ct and 18ct gold, hand-finished at our Birmingham workshop, mostly in the wider widths where the flat-link pattern is easiest to see. One practical note: because the links are flat and interlocking, a herringbone chain can crease if it gets twisted, so it's best to store it flat rather than balled up in a drawer. For a sleek, low-profile chain, it's one of the better options.
