Wedding Rings FAQ's
How much should you spend on your wedding ring?
There is no hard and fast rule on how much you should spend on your wedding rings. We do recommend buying them as a pair if you can, as this can bring down the cost, and we can work out a good deal for you if bought together. We would recommend sticking to a budget and working with a buffer of 10% give or take, so we can design the best ring for you.
Which finger is your wedding ring finger?
Traditionally people wear their wedding ring on their left hand on the fourth finger. It dates back to Roman times, were it was believed that the vein in the fourth finger of the left hand ran directly to your heart.
Who buys the wedding ring?
Most people tend to buy their wedding rings together. You can either split the cost between the both of you and some times it's nice to buy each others.
Which order do you wear engagement wedding and eternity rings?
Normally, the wedding ring is worn first, then the engagement ring, and finally the eternity ring as the third ring.
Can i design my own wedding ring?
Yes you can. We specialise in making bespoke jewellery, and therefore can make a ring designed by you. The best way to do this is to book in for a consultation and visit us in store so we can discuss the different options and timescales.
How long does it take to make a wedding ring?
It all depends on the complexity of the ring. Plain wedding rings can be relatively quick, typically 2-3 weeks. Bespoke wedding rings will take a little longer to design and manufacture. We recommend leaving at least 6-8 weeks until completion just to be safe. But we can also work to your timescales.
